As we settle in for day two of our MSA Rep Meeting, I can't help but to be impressed with the new products that are coming our way. As many of you know, MSA purchased General Monitors in September of 2010. We are starting to see some great things from that acquisition. MSA now has a full line of Flame Detection products, Solid States H2S sensor, new open path gas detection and my favorite, the Ultrasonic Gas Detection sensor. I think this Ultrasonic Sensor has the potential to change how we detect gas leaks on drilling rigs, compressor stations and many other places that require multiple single-point gas detection centers. I know our sales guys are excited to get out and show these new products off.
What an amazing couple of days in Orlando. And I am not talking about the weather, although it was a nice break from 44 degrees and rain back home.
ABB held their annual Automation and Power World event at the Marriott Orlando World Hotel in Florida. With over 70,000 sq feet of exhibit space and over 400 workshops this event is truly amazing. It’s cool to see all the products and sectors ABB is involved in, from High Voltage Transformers, Cranes, Robots, and Flow Meters to PLC's. It gives our customers a chance to not only get to know a little bit more about ABB, but it also provides you a chance to participate in workshops that cover general industrial topics as well, topics that are not focused on ABB. And let’s be honest, 85 and sun, not so bad in April.
If you are interested in attending this event next year or would like more info feel free to give me a call.
